Travel Tips: Working with Flight Attendants

When traveling via airplane, you surely want to be comfortable and safe. Aside from the pilot, there are the flights attendants who will work hard to make sure that you achieve these. The problem is that sometimes, without realizing it, you make it difficult for them to offer you these things.

Flights Attendants

To ensure that your flight will be an enjoyable one, here are some tips that will help you work with the flight attendants and not against them:

  1. Close Your Laptop – it is quite difficult for these flight attendants to control turbulence. If you want to avoid having liquid spilled on your precious laptop and other electronic devices, you should make sure that you close them when food and drinks are being served.
  2. Use the Airport Restroom – during short flights, flight attendants are also obligated to distribute the snacks. In order to avoid getting in the way, you should probably consider going to the airport restroom before your flight takes off.
  3. Listen to Instructions: always heed the pilot’s instructions as well as the flight attendant’s especially if it concerns safety. If the seat belt sign is turned on, you should make sure that you buckle up. It is actually for your best interest to follow them instead of relying on the flight attendants to personally remind you.
  4. Bring Sensible Bags – carry-on bags should be chosen with sensibility in mind. This means that it should not take up so much overhead space and will allow you to put it in without having to do much pushing and shoving.
  5. Tips – although most airlines forbid passengers from tipping the flight attendants, there are still attendants who will accept them if you insist. If you think they deserve it for the great service they provided, then you can give them a tip. Most of the time, they will give you extra care and attention, ensuring a more comfortable flight.
