7 Tips When Travelling During the Spring Break
Spring Break is a time for students to travel and enjoy a vacation under the sun. Whether you would travel by car or go for airplane travel, certain precautions must be taken. Here are some tips to make your spring break vacation fun and safe:

- When you are travelling in a car, always wear your seat belt. It is also recommended to travel with at least two people when using a car. This will allow you to take turns on the steering wheel and divide driving time – just be sure that you all have valid driver’s license and that you have the registration of the car with you. Another important thing to pay attention to is the condition of the car.
- Look out alertly for your belongings. Do not leave your stuff unattended when you travel especially when there are strangers around. Aside from keeping your things from being target for thief, doing so will also prevent things that are not yours from being put in your luggage. Also, avoid flaunting your valuables so you could avoid trouble.
- Always travel with the company of your friends. Even if you are not going out for a long time, grab a friend with you. Going out with company will help you lessen the risk of encountering trouble and will assure you of help when you meet one.
- Keep the doors and all windows of your hotel room locked. Do not take a risk even if you are leaving the room for just a couple of minutes. It is also advisable to choose a room around the fourth level as it is less accessible to thieves. Be familiar with the area – know where the stairs and emergency exits are.
- When you go out on parties, be responsible for yourself. However, it is important that you do not go out without your friends. It is still better if you can look out for each other. Do not go with people that you have just met. Also, do not accept drinks from people you do not know.
- Do not drink beyond what you can handle. Drinking too much can cause trouble especially during travels where you are not very familiar with the place. Aside from inviting trouble, getting too drunk can also lead to alcohol poisoning. Be responsible when drinking.
- When in the beach, stay in areas that are part of the resort zones. Drink plenty of liquid particularly water to keep you hydrated. You can prevent painful sunburn by using sunscreen.
Travelling in the Spring Break is even more fun and enjoyable if you keep yourself safe.
