How to Make a Packing List
Being able to pack lightly is not an easy thing to accomplish especially if you have been used to lugging around all your things whenever you travel. But with the recently imposed surcharges on checked in luggage, maybe it is about time that you learn how to do so. In order to be successful on your first try, the key is making a packing list.
Consider the following:
- Local Weather – for obvious reason, you should only bring clothes that will make you feel comfortable and relaxed. It will definitely be a good decision to check the weather forecast of the destination just to be on the safe side.
- Activity – again, you must list down the clothes which are appropriate for the different activities you will be engaging in. For instance, if you will be attending a formal affair, you should bring a cocktail dress with you unless you are planning on buying one there. On the other hand, activities that will take you outdoors will mean bringing clothes that can withstand the different environmental factors.
- Length of Stay – you should also take into consideration the number of days you will be staying. If it is just a couple of days, you should only bring a couple of shirts and underwear as well as an extra pair of pants. For longer vacations, make sure you bring clothes that can be mixed and matched so you can wear them over and over again and still be stylish. As for amenities such as iron and blow dryer, you can always use the ones provided for by the hotel.
Keep in mind that the purpose of this packing list is to ensure that you will have no need to pay extra for several luggages. With this, you must try your very best to stick to your list.
