In order to make sure that you are ready for these adventures, here are some helpful travel tips.

Student Travelers
  1. Learn about the culture, local customs and laws of the destination you are going to. Knowing about these important things will help you avoid any run-in with the local police.
  2. If you wear eyeglasses or contact lens, you should bring an extra pair with you.
  3. Prepare a basic first aid kit that contains pain relievers, anti-bacterial cream, band aids and any other medication that you are required to take.
  4. Provide you parents with a copy of the contact numbers of the chaperones as well as the hotel you will be staying at. If there are some changes with your travel itinerary, be sure to let your parents know about it by phone or email.
  5. Avoid looking like a tourist for this will attract the attention of unscrupulous individuals. If you need to bring items such as mp3 player or digital camera, you should not leave them lying around.
  6. Never go sight-seeing or shopping alone. Make sure that you always have a buddy with you.
  7. Although street food may seem delicious, you should try not to buy them especially if you have allergies to certain food.
  8. Do not carry all your cash with you whenever you go out. Most hotel rooms come with safety deposit boxes and you should use them to keep your money and other important items safe.

By following these student travel tips, you will successfully avoid getting into trouble and you will be bringing back very nice memories.
